Moto G is one of the best budget-friendly devices available in the market. Not too long ago, Motorola released the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Moto G users residing in the UK.
For those of you in the US, specifically those who are tied to Verizon, Motorola is rolling out the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Moto G as we speak.
Verizon is normally the last carrier to roll out the update, but it’s good to see they have released the update for their Moto G variant. The new update adds several improvements and bug fixes for the Moto G, including an updated phone dialer with a new look, security fixes to OpenSSL, accuracy improvements and more. Here’s a list of features introduced in the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Verizon Moto G:
- Accuracy improvements to power profile
- Stability, framework, and security fixes including update to OpenSSL
- Added the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder
- Updated Phone dialer with a new graphical layout and colors to improve consistency and usability
- New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts with your location to your selected contacts. Now available for download from the Google Play Store
You may not get the update the same day as it rolls out — it’s rolled out in phases so it may take a few days for the process to complete. You can manually check for the update and see if its available for your device.
