Nokia unveiled its first Windows RT tablet earlier this month in Abu Dhabi. Recently, @evleaks posted images of the tablet in red and black with Verizon branding, suggesting that the tablet will hit the Big Red as well. In case you haven’t noticed, the pre-registration page for Verizon Nokia Lumia 2520 is up showing that the tablet will be available in black and red. The pre-registration page also lists some of the specifications of the tablet. Just sign up with your email address to find out as son as the tablet hit the shelves.
Let’s just do a quick recall, the tablet comes with an impressive 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset sporting a clock speed of 2.2GHz with Adreno 330 GPU.
The tablet also features 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage with expandable storage of up to 32GB, a 6.7MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a f1.9 aperture for better low-light photography, 2MP front-facing camera, a massive 8,000 mAh battery capable of delivering 10 hours of video playback and comes with Windows RT 8.1 as the operating system.
On the connectivity side, the tablet comes with NFC, WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n, microUSB 3.0, BT 4.0 LE and a 3.5mm audio connector. On the software side, Outlook and Microsoft Office will be pre-installed with StoryTeller and a few other Nokia applications.
The tablet is expected to hit the shelves by the end of this year with a $499 price tag. We’ll update you as soon as it’s available for sale.
