Verizon has released a press release in conjunction with the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 5 smartphone, detailing that all FaceTime calls over Cellular will be included in all iPhone 5 data plans.
To re-cap the new iPhone 5 is equipped with a new A6 processor providing twice a the power of the iPhone 4S together with new Ultrafast wireless technology, and 4G LTE support.
Making the iPhone 5 perfect for making FaceTime calls over cellular networks, something that was restricted to Wi-Fi connections on the iPhone 4 and 4S when it was launched by Apple last year. Verizon explains:
“Customers come to Verizon Wireless for a premier wireless experience, and iPhone 5 combined with our 4G LTE network is an outstanding combination,” said Dan Mead, Verizon Wireless CEO. “The availability of our 4G LTE network means customers get the reliability they value and the technology they need, regardless of where they roam on our network.”
