Samsung implemented the fingerprint scanning technology on the Samsung Galaxy S5, which can also be authorized to make payments via PayPal. PayPal even announced earlier that it’s commencing the support for this feature in 25 different markets.
If you’re using the Samsung Galaxy S5 from the Big Red, you be disappointed to know Verizon has disabled the PayPal feature on the Samsung Galaxy S5.
PayPal announced yesterday that users can just swipe their finger on the home button, and make purchases with their PayPal account without having to log in every time. It’s not clear why Verizon has disabled this feature since its enabled on all major US carriers. Whenever a user tries to make a purchase, according to Droid-Life, it returned with an error that “the application will not work on your device.”
This should turn out to be a bad news for all those who are stuck with the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5, and may affect its sales since the only way users can use the fingerprint sensor to unlock their device. We’ll update you if anything comes up from Verizon regarding this.
