Tomorrow Verizon will be shipping their new Verizon 4G LTE Modem USB551L to both their high street stores and from their online shop. The Verizon 4G LTE Modem can provide download speeds from 5 – 12 Mbps with uploads between 2-5 Mbps.
Created by Novatel the USB551L modem is reportedly the smallest LTE USB modem currently available, according to its makers, and is around 50 percent smaller than other LTE modems on the market.
The modem will be available from Verizon for $99, but comes with a $50 mail back rebate voucher. The price includes a 24months contract on a 4G Mobile Broadband plan, which start from $50 a month for 5GB.
The Verizon 4G LTE Modem is compatible with computer systems running either Windows XP 32-bit, Vista 32/64-bit (SP2), Windows 7 32/64-bit, or Mac 10.4 or higher.
