Earlier today we heard that HTC were expected to sell the existing HTC One along with the all new HTC One, and now the price of the original handset has been dropped in the US.
The unlocked HTC One previously retailed for $599 in the US, this is the price without a contract with one of the mobile carriers, HTC has now reduced the price of the device to $499, a drop of $100.
HTC will make the all new HTC One official on the 25th of March, so it is probably a good idea to wait until then, rather than buying the existing HTC One at the reduced price.
We suspect HTC will be offering the all new HTC One at the previous price of the existing model of $599, and whether the existing model will be sold alongside it remains to be seen.
