Earlier this month, rumors that a new Nook Color was due soon reached Geeky Gadgets. Turns out the rumor was true. But wait, it’s not just about a Nook color–it’s three. yes, three new Nooks are now believed to be on the verge of official releases before the year is out. Are they coming by the end of September? That is as of yet unknown. More details after the break.
The precious info leaked this week and was outed on Friday. The journalist responsible for the big reveal claimed possession of a slide that revealed a few juicy details on the new Nooks and their respective pricings.
Turns out the better known Nook Smart Touch will retail for an easy $139 while a couple of still unheard of models will go for a higher price range. These are called the Encore and the Acclaim, according to the source. No pictures available, to our dismay, much less any helpful details.
That’s it for now. Any other details we’d like to speculate about wouldn’t mater if the specifications come out and contradict them. Just expect the Encore and the Acclaim to be different varieties of the Nook Color whose biggest difference are in size. Either one should be the smaller of the pair, around seven inches or so.
