Twitter has been blocked in Turkey, the Turkish Prime Minister has said that they plan to stop people using Twitter in the country, you can see a quite from him below.
The Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Erdogan has apparently been implicated in a corruption scandal, and is now trying to stop the information spreading online.
“We will eradicate Twitter,” Erdoğan told a rally in Bursa in the west of the country. “I don’t care what the international community says. Everyone will witness the power of the Turkish Republic.”.
Turkey apparently has around 10 million twitter users, who have now been blocked from accessing the website, although they can still send in Tweets via text message.
Some Twitter users in Turkey have been able to access the service use a Google DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
