Tinke the wellness monitor designed for iOS devices, was first unveiled back in CES this year, but now the Singapore-based startup Zensorium who imagined up the new devices, have revealed a little more on what the device is capable of.
Once launched Tinke simply plugs into the bottom 30 pin connector of your iPhone, iPad or iPod, and will come with its own companion application, which will be free to download from the iTunes App store.
“Monitoring your cardiorespiratory wellness is one of the most important yet neglected aspects of fitness and wellness. Defined as the ability of your heart, lungs and organs to consume, transport and utilize, your cardiorespiratory wellness has an impact on your daily life. “
Providing you with data on your heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation levels and heart rate variability, via the devices built-in optical sensors. The Tinke is still currently under development but Zensorium hopes to start shipping the new welling monitor Tinke device in the fourth quarter of 2012, for around $99.
