The new Accura NSX goes on sale this spring, when it launched prices for this new super car will start at $156,000, the first one has now been sold for slightly more.
On Sunday the first Accura NSX with the number 001 was sold at a Barret Jackson auction on the weekend for $1.2 million and the car was purchased by Rick Hendrick, who is the owner of the Hendrik Motorsports Nascar team.
He has purchased the first Accura NSX that will roll off the production line and the $1.2 million is going to a good cause, it will go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground in Georgia.
This is quite a premium over the $156,000 that the NSX will retail for , it is also the highest price that has been recorded for a VIN 001 production car at Barret Jackson.
