Building on the successfully funded Teplo “smart bottle for tea lovers”, Load and Road have once again taken to Kickstarter to launch their new Teplo smart tea pot. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Teplo which is capable of brewing tea based on your emotional state. For example if you are tired it will brew at a higher temperature to increase caffeine levels helping you get through those slumps in the day.

Teplo is being marketed as the world’s first connected tea pot one consists of an infuser and companion mobile application that consists of the database with hundreds of different teas to choose from. The Teplo also features a unique heart rate sensor that allows you to have your heart rate measured to personalise your brew.

“Brewing tea is an ancient art that has been perfected by tea masters over the course of thousands of years. Tea masters observe user behavior and body language to adjust tea brewing temperature and time, to cater to the user’s needs. Teplo aims to do just that, using its built-in sensors it collects essential information about you and your surroundings. Teplo then readjusts the brewing algorithm, to create a truly personalised tea drinking experience. “
“The world is no stranger to smart tea brewers. But while most focus on what the tea needs, they neglect the other major player: the drinker. Teplo senses your heart rate, body temperature and other environmental factors like room temperature, humidity level, and sound level through proprietary sensors. Using these parameters, Teplo adjusts optimal brewing temperature and time. Thus brewing a truly personalized cup of tea, that is suited specifically to you.“
Pledges are available from $249 or roughly £191 for super early bird backers with worldwide delivery expected to commence sometime around April 2020.
