Parents have to work so sometimes it can be difficult to keep as close an eye on young children as you might want to. A new product has hit Indiegogo that offers parents a way to interact with their kids and keep an eye on them even when they’re not there. The product is called the Teddy Sitter and it’s part home monitor and part teddy bear.
The bear can play with children and is able to call them by name and has a built-in nightlight. It can also tell kids bedtime stories, jokes, sing songs, and play educational games. Parents can access the bear using a smartphone application and retrieved pictures that the bear has taken and perform other functions.
The bear can automatically contact parents and responds to things kids say. For instance if your kid says, “I want my mommy” the mobile app will notify the parent that your child wants you. If the kid says I’m scared, the bear will turn on his nightlight. Earlybirds who back the project can get one of the bears for €100 with delivery estimated to happen in December if the project funds.
