If you are concerned about your body odour and quite how much you stink at certain times of the day, a new device called the Tanita ES-100, launched in Japan over the weekend can help you monitor and measure your odour levels. The small pocket size device has been created to help users combat “sumeru harasumento” which translates to “smell harassment” an English.
To check your odour at any time during the day simply turn the device on, flip the sensor and position it under your armpit or the area you would like to check and after 10 seconds a reading is displayed from 0 to 10 depending on your odour. Another useful feature of the Tanita ES-100 is its ability to detect the use of too much aftershave or deodorant and will suggest you tone down your applications.
The sensor within the Tanita ES-100 offers 2,000 uses and can be easily replaced when required. The Tanita ES-100 older measurement device is now available throughout Japan priced at roughly $125 or 13,824 yen.
