HTC did a pretty good job in updating the HTC One to KitKat in a timely fashion. Last month, HTC Product team did an AMA on Reddit, and mentioned that HTC One Max will get the chocolaty taste of Android 4.4.2 KitKat in March.
It turns out they are on time as Sprint has started rolling out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the HTC One Max in the US.

The latest update bumps the software version to 2.09.651.1, and also comes with a bunch of improvements including Sense 5.5 UI, which comes with minor enhancements and bug fixes. Additionally, it features all the sweetness of Android 4.4.2 KitKat including restyled white icons, improved SMS capabilities with an option to select Hangouts as the default SMS app, new Bluetooth profiles, Cloud Print support, SDC support and more.
The update is rolling out as we speak, but you may not get the update on the first day. It might take a little while for the process to complete, but the impatient ones can manually check for it by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update > Check now. If you already received the update, let us know in the comments with the improvements you can notice.
