Sprint and Samsung have announced the launch of a new Eco friendly mobile phone, the Samsung Reclaim.
The Samsung Reclaim will be made from a combination of bio plastics made from corn, and 80% of the phone will be made from recycled materials, making it one of the greenest mobile phones available today.
The specifications aren’t that impressive, with a 2 megapixel camer, a full Qwerty keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP, GPS and support for up to 32GB of memory via a microSDHC card.
The Samsung Reclaim will go on sale in the US on the 16th of August, and is going to cost a reasonable $49.99 with a contract, and for every handset sold, Sprint will also donate $2 to the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program.
