Springpad the online service that allows you to save anything you want to remember on your phone or computer, has this week added a new facility using a Chrome browser extension that enables users to be able to access their accounts and saved items anywhere while offline.
The new feature has been one of the most asked for additions to the Springpad service from its users, and now SpringPad has listened and responded with the release of the Chrome webapp.
Springpad explains:
All of your Springpad data will be stored locally so that you can access Springpad via Chrome at any time, and you can continue to add new things while offline. Plus, as an added benefit, users of the Chrome web app will find overall performance improvements.
There are a few items which still cant be completed offline such as adding alerts, new items with the search tool, and customising sorting options but these are small issues and users would not probably need these requirements anyway while in offline mode.
