Yesterday an image leaked revealing a new Sony smartwatch and a glimpse at the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact which is expected to be announced and launched at this year IFA 2014 event next month.
Now some more detailed specifications for the Sony Xperia Z3 tablet have been leaked, revealing that the tablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset the same that Sony used from Xperia Z2 Tablet, but now clocked at a higher speed in the form of a MSM8974AC.
The processing power of the new Sony tablet will be complemented by 3GB of RAM together with 16GB of internal storage, again reflecting the specifications of the Sony Z2 tablet.
Sony has also included its waterproofing and dust proofing technology to protect the Full HD IPS 8 inch screen, that will offer users a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and is equipped with Sony’s TRILUMINOS tech and X-Reality picture processing engine and finished with an anti-reflection coating.
Other specifications of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact reveal that the new tablet will be equipped with an 8.0 megapixel Exmor RS rear facing camera, together with LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. As well as being equipped with a battery that is expected to be rated between 4500-5000mAh.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been leaked or released as yet by Sony, but you can expect more specifications and possibly a price to be made available during this year’s IFA 2014 event which kicks off next month on September 5th 2014
