It would appear that things are looking up for Sony in terms of their smartphone sales, the company has revealed that they have managed to sell over 12 million Sony Xperia handsets in quarter four of 2014.
This is a significant increase for Sony, who sold 8.8 million smartphones in the same quarter in 2013, the company managed to sell 9.9 devices in the summer of 2014.
Sony also announced that sales of their Sony Xperia devices made them an operating profit of $80 million, although overall the company will lose around $1.45 billion for their full year.
Sony are expected to launch their new flagship Xperia smartphone later this year, the Sony Xperia Z4, which should help the company increase sales of their Xperia handsets in 2015.
