We thought it usually took years, maybe even decades for war veterans to start performing reenactments of their famous battles. Apparently things move along a lot faster in this day and age and Sony is more than ready to relive its darkest hour, as well as risk reminding their customer base of that time they almost had their credit card number stolen. Or totally had their credit card number stolen, depending on your knowledge of statistics and/or gambling disposition.
“Please note for the duration of this period SCEE titles only will not be available online, and there may be additional downtime after for testing purposes,” said Sony, referring to the planned weekend PSN shut down period. This will not affect your ability to sign in to the PlayStation Network, and you will still be able to play other titles online.” The “maintenance” only lasts from 5:30 to 10:30, however, so unfortunately this will barely feel like a proper commemoration of the heinous events of June 2011.
