Skytex has announced the addition of two new Android Skypad tablets to its range in the form of the Gemini And Protos. The two new tablets will be arriving in stores during July and both run Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.
Both Android tablets are also powered by a 1.2 GHz Arm Cortex A8 processor supported by 1GB RAM. With graphics provided by a Mali-400 graphics card.
The Protos priced at $279 is a 9.7” tablet is equipped with a a wide-view IPS screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Its also fitted with a 6000 mAh battery which its manufactures claim will provide 10-20 hours of continuous web surfing. its also fitted with a a 5MP camera on the rear and 2MP web camera on the front.
The Skytex Gemini (pictured above) priced at $179 is a 7” tablet is equipped with a capacitive multi-touch screen Android tablet sporting a 16:9 aspect ratio, and is finished with rubberised “slip-proof” coating providing extra grip when in the hand.
Both tablets also support 1080p and 3D through an HDMI port, 1 x mini USB port, and a micro-SD card slot for up to 32GB of additional storage. For more information jump over to the Skytex website for details.
