Sky has announced a new feature for its Sky Go mobile app, Sky Go Extra which is a subscription based service for existing Sky customers and users of the Sky Go application on their mobile devices.
Sky Go Extra will let users f the app download movies and TV shows direct to their smartphone, tablet or MacBook, and then you will be able to watch the downloaded content on your device whenever you want.
Stephen van Rooyen, Managing Director of Sales & Marketing at Sky, comments: “Building on the ever-growing popularity of Sky Go, Sky Go Extra lets Sky customers download great movies and TV shows to take with them to watch offline whenever and wherever suits them, as well as access to Sky Go on up to four internet-connected devices. Together with our comprehensive On Demand service and our range of award-winning apps, we continue to deliver helpful and innovative ways for Sky customers to enjoy even more flexibility over when, where and how they enjoy Sky.”

Sly have also said that they are adding support for more devices in their latest software update, which includes the HTC One X+, the Motorola RAZRi and the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0.
