Using admin control panels to control your content can sometimes be a laborious and also confusing for clients that are not used to managing their own content.
A new system has been created by Simpla that removes the need for a control panel to edit content and allows users to simply edit content directly from the front end and the core technology behind Simpla will be open-source.
The development responsible for Simpla explain a little more.
Building and managing websites is painful. Why do we have to use complicated frameworks just to be able to edit content?
Simpla is a JavaScript library that turns content management into a service, by creating new, editable HTML elements you can use anywhere. Use it to build simple websites on its own, or inside other frameworks, or as a revolutionary foundation for your own awesome project.
Simpla isn’t a website builder, a CMS, or a platform. It does away with almost everything you’d traditionally associate with content management:
• There’s nothing to setup, just drop in a single JavaScript file and start using the new HTML elements, like <simpla-text>, who’s content you can edit on your site at any time.
• Simpla’s elements are an extension to the HTML language, making dynamic content a native part of the web.
• There are no admin areas or forms. Edit content transparently inline.
• Simpla runs entirely on the frontend. Create dynamic content anywhere you use regular static HTML
