
HTC Desire Eye is already available exclusively from AT&T, but if you don’t want to get in to a two-year commitment and prefer a SIM-free version, you be glad to know Expansys is now selling the handset. It’s not just the Desire Eye, Desire 820 is also available at the retailer.
HTC Desire Eye is available in two color options at the moment, red and blue, and costs $519.99. On the other hand, the Desire 820 costs $359.99 and comes in white and gray color options at Expansys. It’s not just Expansys, Newegg is also selling the Desire 820 for $376.37.
The price of the HTC Desire Eye is slightly lower than what AT&T is offering the handset off-contract, which is $549.99. On contract, it costs $149.99 with a two-year agreement with the carrier.
As far as the specifications are concerned, HTC Desire Eye comes with a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device also features a microSD card slot which supports up to 128GB. The most attractive feature is the 13MP front-facing camera for selfie fans, as well as a 13MP rear camera for photos and videos. Other features include WiFI, Bluetooth, a 2,400 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system.
Desire 820 features a slightly bigger 5.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 615 for processing power, 2GB of RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage, a 2,600 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box.
