Sharp has announced a new Android smartphone that they will be launching in Japan with mobile carrier KDDI, the Sharp IS03, and it will be available in Japan in November.
The Sharp iS03 features a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, there is also a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Other specifications on the Sharp IS03 include a 9.6 megapixel camera with a built in LED flash, there is also EVDO Rev.A, 802.11 b/g WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, infrared, GPS, a 1-Seg mobile digital TV tuner and a built in FM transmitter.
On top of that the Sharp IS03 also comes with 512MB of RAM and a microSD card slot that will come loaded with a 2GB microSD card. There are no details on how much it will cost when it goes on sale in Japan, and also no details on whether we will see a version of the Sharp iS03 launching in the US and Europe.
