Scosche has launched its new hardware and application combo to help you keep up your keys, bags, and other items. The device is called foundIT and you get a pair of the wireless transmitters for $49.95. That makes this a rather reasonably priced set up, even if it’s not the first product of this type on the market.
The small transmitters are about the size of a keyless entry remote control. Power for the devices comes from a coin cell battery good for a year of continuous use. The application is available only for Apple gadgets running iOS 5.1 or higher.
That means it will work with the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and most iPad models. The wireless transmitters have a 100-foot range and the app can help you find your lost keys or other items using a small radar screen or a map. You can even use the system to track your vehicle.
