Along with the Samsung Galaxy NotePro tablet, Samsung unveiled a plethora of tablets of different sizes at the CES 2014 press event in Las Vegas, dubbed as Samsung Galaxy TabPro.
Samsung Galaxy TabPro line up consists of tablets with different screen sizes, including Samsung Galaxy TabPro 12.2-inch tablet, which looks identical to the Samsung Galaxy NotePro in terms of specifications and appearance. It comes with a similar 12.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with an option of Exynos 5 Octa and Snapdragon 800 chispet (for LTE Model) under the hood. The only difference is the lack of S Pen functionality in the Tab Pro 12.2-inch.
On the connectivity side, Samsung Galaxy TabPro 12.2 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO (2.4 & 5 GHz), Wi-Fi Direct, AllShareCast, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.0.
Coming over to the other members of the Samsung Galaxy TabPro line up: a 10.1-inch tablet as well as a 8.4-inch model, which comes with a little bit different specifications compared to the Galaxy NotePro and TabPro 12.2-inch.
Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch WQXGA Super Clear LCD display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, while the Galaxy TabPro 8.4 features a smaller 8.4-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. It’s pretty good too see Samsung offering a similar display on the smaller versions of the tablet as well.
Both tablets are powered by the same Exynos 5 Octa and Snapdragon 800 chipset for the 3G/WiFi and LTE enabled models. Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB storage options with microSD card support, plethora of pre-installed applications and Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed out of the box.
On the connectivity side, both Galaxy TabPro models comes with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/acCH Bonding, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0. Samsung Galaxy TabPro 10.1 features a Li-ion 8,220 mAh battery while the Galaxy TabPro 8.4 comes wit ha 4,800 mAh battery to make sure there’s enough power for the tablets.
All the tablets are expected to hit retail by the end of Q1 2014.
