We already know that Samsung’s next flagship smartphones will be called the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus and now Samsung has officially confirmed this.
Earlier today we saw Samsung’s financial results for quarter four of 2017 and in the release the company mentions the ‘Galaxy S9’ for the first time.
Samsung are holding a press conference for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus on the 25th of February 2018 at Mobile World Congress. We have already heard many specifications on these new Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung will be introducing a range of new features with their new Galaxy S9 smartphones, the design of the handsets and the display size is similar to that of the Galaxy S8. The handsets will come with either a Snapdragon 845 or a Samsung Eyxnos 9810 depending on the region.
The Galaxy S9 is rumored to come with 4GB of RAM and the S9 Plus 6GB of RAM. Storage is said to start at 54GB and could go all the way up to 512GB. The handset will also come with Samsung’s new mobile camera which the company is hoping will be a major selling point.
The Galaxy S9 will have a single camera and the Galaxy S9 Plus dual cameras, the handset will also come with Samsung’s Intelligent Scan feature, this combines facial recognition and a new iris scanner. The handsets are rumored to go up for pre-order on the 2nd of March and launch on the 16th of February.
