We heard heard a number of rumors about some of the new features on the Samsung Galaxy S9. We previously heard that Samsung would introduce a new Iris Scanner on the handset and also improved facial recognition.
According to a recent report the new Iris Scanner and improved facial recognition will be combined together into once security system which Samsung will call Intelligent Scan. The software will scan you face and also your Iris at the same time, have a look at the video below.
The two new Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones will come with a range of new features and hardware. The handsets will have different processors in different countries, these will include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor.
The Galaxy S9 is rumored to come with 4GB of RAM and the Galaxy S9 Plus 6GB of RAM. Storage is said to start at 64GB and could go all the way up to 512GB as Samsung recently launched some new 512GB storage for smartphones.
The handsets will come with Samsung’s new camera, this was announced recently and the S9 will come with one camera sensor. The Galaxy S9 Plus will come with dual rear cameras. The handsets will come with Android Oreo.
Samsung are holding their Mobile World Congress press conference on the 25th of February and we heard earlier today that the devices are expected to go on sale on the 16th of March 2018.
