We have heard various rumors about the specifications on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone, one thing we have not heard much information on is the battery in the handset.
The new Samsung Galaxy S6 will apparently come with a 2600 mAh battery, which is actually smaller than the one found in the Galaxy S5.
The current Galaxy S5 features a 2800 mAh battery, but the new Samsung Galaxy S6 with its smaller battery is said to offer an improved battery life over the current models.
The battery life improvements will be produced by increased efficiency on Samsung’s new flagship mobile processor, the Samsung Exynos 7 which was announced earlier today.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to use the new Exynos 7420 processor and the handset is also rumored to come with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Other rumored specifications on the handset include a 5.1 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The device is also rumored to come with a 5 megapixel front facing camera and a 20 megapixel rear camera, plus Android 5.0 Lollipop.
We are expecting the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones to be made official at MWC 2015 next month. Samsung are holding their 2015 Samsung Unpacked press conference on Sunday the 1st of March.
