We had previously heard that the curved version of the Galaxy S6 would launch as the Samsung Galaxy Edge, although some new information has contradicted the previous rumors.
A trademark filing for two new smartphones by Samsung has been discovered in South Korea and it looks like the rumored Galaxy Edge will actually launch as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
Samsung has filed two trademarks which can be seen below, one is for the Samsung Galaxy S6 the other for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
Of course it is possible that the handset could have a slightly different name in different regions, for example it could be called the Galaxy S6 Edge in South Korea and Galaxy Edge in the US and Europe.
We suspect that Samsung will keep the same name for the handset world wide and when it is announced in March it will be unveiled as the Galaxy S6 Edge.
