Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S5 last Friday, we have already seen a tear down of the Galaxy S5, and now has taken apart the S5 and estimated how much the handset costs to make.
According to IHS, the Samsung Galaxy S5 costs Samsung around $256 to make, this means that Samsung is making a healthy profit for each galaxy S5 smartphone it sells.
The contract free version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 retails for $660 in the US, the contract version of the device retails for $199 with a new two year contract.
The Galaxy S5 comes with some impressive specifications, the handset features a 5.1 inch full high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy S5 include a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM, the device is also equipped with an Adreno 330 GPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 also features a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of built in storage, it features a microSD card slot for expansion, this offers support for up to 128GB microSD cards.
The handset is equipped with a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera, plus a 2,800 mAh battery and Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
