We have been hearing more and more rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, and now a photo taken with a yet-to-be-announced Samsung device has appeared on Picasa, and has since been removed.
The original photo was taken with a device with the model number GT-I9300, which is rumored to be the model number for the new Samsung Galaxy S III.
You can see the test photo below, which has a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, which would suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S III would feature an 8.1-megapixel camera.
Of course, this photo could have been taken at a lower resolution than the device actually supports, so it is still possible that the new Samsung Galaxy S III will come with a 12-megapixel camera that has been rumored for a while.
Camera Capabilities and Features
The camera capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S III have been a hot topic among tech enthusiasts. If the device indeed features an 8.1-megapixel camera, it would still be a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Galaxy S II, which had an 8-megapixel camera. However, the possibility of a 12-megapixel camera cannot be ruled out. A higher megapixel count would allow for more detailed and sharper images, which is a crucial feature for users who rely heavily on their smartphones for photography.
In addition to the megapixel count, other camera features such as HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging, optical image stabilization, and advanced autofocus capabilities are also anticipated. These features would enhance the overall photography experience, allowing users to capture high-quality images even in challenging lighting conditions.
Anticipated Specifications and Launch Date
While the camera is a significant aspect of the Samsung Galaxy S III, other specifications are equally important. Rumors suggest that the device will be powered by a quad-core processor, which would make it one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. This would ensure smooth multitasking and an overall faster user experience.
The display is another area where the Galaxy S III is expected to shine. Speculations point towards a Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This would provide vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming.
Battery life is always a concern with high-performance smartphones. The Galaxy S III is rumored to come with a 2100 mAh battery, which should provide ample power to get through a full day of heavy usage. Additionally, features like wireless charging and fast charging are also expected to be part of the package.
As for the launch date, Samsung has been tight-lipped about the exact timing. However, industry insiders speculate that the device could be unveiled at an upcoming tech event, possibly within the next few months. This would align with Samsung’s typical release schedule for its flagship devices.
As soon as we get more information on the new Samsung Galaxy S III, including a launch date and some specifications, plus some actual pictures of the device, we will let you guys know.
