We previously heard a rumor that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would be made official on the 12th of August.
Now according to a new report, Samsung are holding a press event in New York on the 13th of August and the company will announce the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to come with a 5.67 inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and the handset will be powered by a new Samsung Exynos 7422 processor.
The Exynos 7422 is an octa core processor that combines the CPU, GPU, RAM and LTE modem in one chip, is is expected to be more powerful than the current Exynos 7420 processor found in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
Other rumored specifications on the new Galaxy Note 5 include 4GB of RAM, the device is expected to have a range of storage options from 32GB to 128GB, as yet there are no details on whether the handset will feature a microSD card slot.
Samsung will also give the new Note 5 updated cameras, the front camera is said to come with 8 megapixels and the rear camera with 20 megapixels, the handset will come with Android Lollipop.
If this date of the 13th of August is correct, then we can expect these new Samsung smartphones to launch in stores some time in August.
