Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat update as its operating system. If you’re waiting for the latest Lollipop update to hit the two-year old device, there’s a piece of bad news for you.
If the response from Samsung’s Gulf Facebook page is to be believed, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 won’t get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
Recently, a user on Facebook inquired about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the handset, and received the bad news for it. Not too long ago, Samsung’s Polish wing did say that it’s planned, but it seems that may not be a possibility.
To be honest, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is almost two years old, and company’s usually provide updates for the handsets for around 18 months, but a majority of them are let go off after one year.
The Galaxy Note 2 owner is still a good handset, but it seems it’s now time for the handset owners to upgrade their devices to a new one, possibly the Galaxy Note 4 if you want to stick to Samsung’s Note series. Otherwise, there are a lot of good options to choose from.
