We first heard about the new Samsung Galaxy J7 back in April and now we have some more details on the device, including some specifications.
The Galaxy J7 recently turned up in the GFX Benchmarks and the handset will come with a 5.8 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Performance and Hardware
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy J7 include an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz plus an Adreno 405 GPU. This combination is expected to provide a smooth and efficient performance, suitable for multitasking and running demanding applications. The Snapdragon 615 is known for its balance between performance and power efficiency, making it a popular choice for mid-range smartphones.
It looks like the new Galaxy J7 will come with 2GB of RAM, which should be sufficient for most users to run multiple apps simultaneously without significant lag. Additionally, the device will feature 16GB of built-in storage. While this may seem modest by today’s standards, it is likely that the device will support expandable storage via a microSD card, allowing users to increase their storage capacity as needed.
Camera Capabilities
The front camera on the handset will be a 5-megapixel Full HD capable camera. This should be more than adequate for video calls and selfies, providing clear and detailed images. The rear camera on the device will be a 12-megapixel version, which is expected to deliver high-quality photos and videos. Samsung has a reputation for equipping its devices with excellent camera technology, so we can anticipate good performance from the Galaxy J7’s cameras.
The camera software is likely to include various modes and features such as HDR, panorama, and possibly some manual controls, allowing users to get creative with their photography. The inclusion of Full HD video recording on both cameras means that users can capture high-resolution videos with ease.
Software and Additional Features
The handset will also come with Android 5.1 Lollipop. This version of Android includes several improvements over its predecessors, such as better battery management, enhanced notifications, and a more polished user interface. Users can expect a smooth and responsive experience with Android 5.1, along with access to the vast ecosystem of apps available on the Google Play Store.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy J7 is expected to support 4G LTE, ensuring fast internet speeds for browsing, streaming, and downloading. Other connectivity options will likely include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The device may also feature a range of sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and possibly a fingerprint scanner for added security.
As soon as we get some more details on the device, including some photos of the handset and a release date, we will let you guys know. The Galaxy J7 is shaping up to be a solid mid-range smartphone with a good balance of performance, features, and affordability. It will be interesting to see how it compares to other devices in its category once it is officially released.
