Samsung is rumored to be working on the upcoming Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro, which are rumored to launch by the end of this year.
Recently, the alleged Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro with model number SM-C5010 was spotted on imports tracking website Zauba.
The handset has apparently landed in India for research and development, and evaluation purposes carrying a value of INR 20483. This is worth mentioning that it’s not the retail price of the handset, and when it launches, the price tag it comes with will be quite higher than the price listed on Zauba.
Specifications and Features
As for the specifications, there are no solid details available at the moment except that the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is rumored to ship with a Snapdragon 625 processor while its bigger sibling, the Galaxy C7 Pro, is expected to come with a Snapdragon 626 chipset. The Snapdragon 625 is known for its balance between performance and power efficiency, making it a popular choice for mid-range smartphones. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 626 offers a slight performance boost over the 625, with higher clock speeds and improved connectivity features.
Both devices are expected to feature Super AMOLED displays, which are known for their vibrant colors and deep blacks. The Galaxy C5 Pro is rumored to have a 5.2-inch display, while the Galaxy C7 Pro might sport a larger 5.7-inch screen. Additionally, both models are likely to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.
Camera and Battery
In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro are expected to feature impressive setups. The Galaxy C5 Pro might come with a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, catering to photography enthusiasts and selfie lovers alike. The Galaxy C7 Pro, being the larger model, could offer a similar or slightly enhanced camera configuration.
Battery life is always a critical aspect of any smartphone, and the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro are rumored to come with substantial battery capacities. The Galaxy C5 Pro might be equipped with a 2,600mAh battery, while the Galaxy C7 Pro could feature a larger 3,300mAh battery. Both devices are expected to support fast charging, ensuring that users can quickly top up their battery levels when needed.
Software and Additional Features
On the software front, both the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro are likely to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layered on top. This combination provides a user-friendly interface with a host of customization options and features. However, it is also possible that Samsung might update these devices to Android 7.0 Nougat shortly after their release.
Other notable features might include a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security, USB Type-C for faster data transfer and charging, and support for Samsung Pay, allowing users to make secure mobile payments.
Launch and Availability
Rumors suggest the Korean company will launch the handset in December, but there’s no word about the pricing or the markets where it will launch. Given Samsung’s history, it is likely that the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro will initially be available in select markets, with a gradual rollout to other regions. The pricing is expected to be competitive, positioning these devices as attractive options in the mid-range segment.
