Last night at the Samsung press conference the company announced the launch of its new Samsung ATIV Q tablet which has been designed to offer both a tablet and full fledged laptop.
The Samsung ATIV Q can be transformed from tablet to laptop with one quick motion and will provide you with access to both Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system and Google’s Android Jelly Bean operating system.
The Samsung ATIV Q hybrid tablet is fitted with a 13-inch display sporting a massive 3,200 x 1,800 pixel resolution (275ppi) and is powered by a Intel Haswell Core i5 processor.
Storage on the devices is provided by a 128GB solid state disk (SSD) and connections for USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI output are provided as well as a 720p HD video and a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Samsung ATIV Q measure 14 mm thick and weighs 2.8lbs or 1.3kgs and can swap from one operating system to the other with the simple press of a button and does on require a restart.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the new Samsung ATIV Q, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
