Earlier rumors about iPad Mini suggested that the tablets will hit the market by the end of this year, with Retina display. However, Taiwan’s Economics Daily reports suggests otherwise. According to the report, it has been revealed that Apple has delayed the launch date of the upcoming iPad Mini due to the shortage of Retina display panels. Due to this, the expected launch date has been postponed and is forced to push the launch date to early 2014.
The report also suggests that we may see two different versions of the second generation iPad Mini: one with Retina display and a simple one. However, the report didn’t mention anything about the pricing of both models. There is also no word about the difference in features in both variants as well.
There is no official word from Apple about all these rumors. We have seen a few rumors in the past suggesting that Apple will launch a Retina display iPad Mini, but this would definitely increase the price of the device and the device will lose its purpose – to be a cheaper version of iPad. What do you people think? Will Apple launch the second generation iPad Mini anytime soon?
