RIM has re-branded its BlackBerry App world, and the app store is now called the BlackBerry World, as it will include more that just applications, you will also be able to download music and videos from BlackBerry World.
RIM will be rolling out the BlackBerry World to their PlayBook tablets initially, which will then be followed by their smartphones over the next 24 hours.
With BlackBerry World, there are various ways to browse, download, buy, and manage apps using a BlackBerry smartphone, BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, or desktop or laptop computer,— inspiration is at your fingertips. And if you find something you love and want to tell the world, you can easily share it with your friends over BBM, Facebook and Twitter. Also, you can simply tap smartphones together and invite your friends to download it* — just like that.
RIM are obviously getting ready for the launch of their new BlackBerry 10 OS which will launch, along with their new BlackBerry 10 devices on the 30th of January.
