Ricoh has added a new compact camera to its range, the Ricoh CX5 which is the follow on to the previous Ricoh CX4, and it shares the same 10 megapixel backlit sensor as the previous model, and also features a 3 inch display and a 28-300mm (35mm equivalent) sensor.
The Ricoh CX5 features a new hybrid autofocus which adds a distance sensor into the autofocus, and according to Ricoh this reduces the amount of time it takes to focus down to 0.2 seconds.
The Ricoh CX5 also comes with another feature, which is called ‘Super Resolution, which is software based image processing that is design to produce ‘amazing photographs with high resolution’.
There are no details as yet on pricing or availability on the CX5 although it will probably retail for a similar price to the previous CX4 which cost $300.
