Razer has launched a new and unique keyboard this week which is equipped with light beam Opto-Mechanical switches which rely on an optical trigger rather than a mechanical. The Opto-Mechanical switches require a lighter actuation force of just 45g, and ate rated for up to 100 million keystrokes, making it twice as resilient as many traditional mechanical switches.
Razer Huntsman Elite Opto-Mechanical Switches Explained
The standard Razer Huntsman keyboard without wrist rest and additional media functions will be available to purchase priced at £150 in the UK or €160 throughout Europe Europe and $150 in the United States. The higher specification Huntsman Elite will be available from £200 in the UK, €210 in the EU and $200 in the US.
