Android users that like the flick-to-shoot Quick Capture photographic feature of the Moto X but perhaps don’t own a Moto X smartphone, might be interested in a new application which is being developed by Suyash Srijan called QuickCamera.
The QuickCamera Android application is currently in its alpha development stages but is a free application that can be loaded onto any Android smartphone to replicate the Quick Capture feature of the Motorola Moto X smartphone.
The new Android QuickCamera application has been designed to work both when your smartphone is awake and asleep. Allowing you to use the smartphones accelerometer to detect sudden movements.
As the QuickCamera application is developed over the coming months, future versions are expected to use the gyroscope, and you can already adjust the movement threshold that triggers the camera capturing sequence to stop false triggers.
If you are not aware of the Quick Capture feature that Motorola have included on their latest flagship smartphone you can see the feature in action in the video below.
