We had previously heard that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor would launch in the LG G6 and now it looks like we will have to wait until the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 to see the processor.
According to a recent report, the new LG G6 which is launching at Mobile World Congress next month with use the Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm and not the new Snapdragon 835.
Forbes are reporting that the Snapdragon 835 will not be available in large quantities until after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch in March and Samsung are apparently going to be the first company to launch a Snapdragon 835 processor.
This means that all of the new smartphones at Mobile World Congress next month will not use the Snapdragon 835 as Samsung apparently have an exclusive agreement with Qualcomm to be the first manufacturer to use the processor.
We heard rumors previously that Samsung had worked together with Qualcomm on the development of the new processor, so this could be one reason why Samsung are getting their hands on the processor first.
If Samsung are the first company to launch a handset with a Snapdragon 835, then this could give them an advantage over their competitors and the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus could end up being very popular smartphones.
