Pocket, formerly known as Read It Later, is one of the most useful apps in my opinion, and resides in my app drawer for articles that I save for later. It’s not just articles, users can save videos, recipes and much more to the app. Later, the saved item can be viewed anywhere, on any device.
Recently, the Pocket for Android was bumped to version 5.4, and brings several new features and enhancements on board, including an immersive mode for users running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, as well as translation support for more languages, including Chinese, Dutch Korean, Polish and Portuguese.
Here’s the complete change log for Pocket v5.4 for Android:
- Translated into more languages: Chinese, Dutch, Korean, Polish and Portuguese.
- Fullscreen now uses Immersive Mode on Android 4.4 KitKat and hides the status bar on Android 4.1 and up.
- Refined layout and typography, which ensures that headers, images and paragraphs all flow together seamlessly.
- Automatic adjustments to layout and formatting when adjusting text size to deliver the most readable view.
