A new wristwatch concept has been launched on Kickstarter this week that’s been designed to connect to your iPhone or Android smartphone. allowing you to use the GPS, and control your smartphone from your wrist.
The Pebble watch is equipped with an e-paper display, accelerometer, vibrating motor , powerful micro processor and can be powered by its internal battery for up to seven days. Watch the video after the jump to see Eric Migicovsky talk you though the unique watch concept.
Now the team behind the innovative Pebble watch is now looking to take their concepts into production but needs funds for tooling and machining. Even though the Pebble watch concept has only been on Kickstarter for a short while its already surpassed it original pledge funding goal of $100,000.
Pebbles creators are also looking to launch an Open SDK for their wrist watch devices that will allow developers to create smart applications for the Pebble watch and send data to and from it via the Internet.
