When it comes to data, storage there is a huge amount of products on the market today that serve different needs. There are all sorts of external storage devices and when it comes to internal storage for a desktop; your options get much smaller. Patriot Memory has announced a new internal storage solution today that is called the Patriot Convey 4×4 series.
The series includes the 425XL and the 425S. Both of the devices are four bay aluminum enclosures that fit inside a 5.25-inch drive bay of a desktop computer. Each of the devices has four bays that can hold 2.5-inch HDDs or SSDs up to 12.5mm thick.
The four bays of the storage devices are hot swappable and support HDDs or SSDs that use SATA. The difference in the two is that the 425XL has hardware RAID support. Patriot claims that a 425XL in RAID 0 with Inferno SSDs hit 240,000 IOPS in testing.
