Attido Mobile has unveiled a new port they have created to take make Apple’s Passbook App available on Android devices, in the form of a new application called PassWallet.
PassWallet for Android works in a similar way to Apple’s Passbook and uses the “.pkpass” mime type embedded within digital receipts. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the PassWallet application and see it in action.
The developers of PassWallet explain a little more about their application, but it will be interesting to see what Apple thinks of the new PassWallet application, and how long it takes them to set the lawyers loose.
“Collect all your tickets & coupons, from flight boarding passes to coffee shop loyalty cards in one easy to use application. Introduced in Apple’s iOS 6, PKPass files will quickly become the de facto standard for mobile ticketing.”
PassWallet is now available to download from the Google Play Store for free. Enjoy!
