Onkyo has announced that it will be selling a dual screen netbook, we have already seen a dual screen netbook from Kohjinsha, now Onkyo will be selling a re-branded version of the Kojinsha model with better specifications.
The Onkyo DX1007A5 Dual Screen Netbook will feature two 10.1 LED backlit displays, with a resolution of 1,366 x 768, as opposed to the 1024 x 600 resolution on the Kojinsha model.
On top of that, the Onkyo DX1007A5 will come with 2GB of RAM (1GB on the Onkyo Kojinsha model), a 320GB hard drive as opposed to a 160GB hard drive in the Kojinsha model, although it doesn’t feature the 1-Seg digital TV tuner that the Kojinsha model does.
The Onkyo DX1007A5 Dual Screen Netbook will features a 1.6GHZ AMD Athlon Neo MV040 processor, plus an ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics card, three USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3 megapixel web camera, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, there is also a multi memory card reader.
The Onkyo DX1007A5 Dual Screen Netbook will be available in Japan shortly for about $950 and it comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, there are no details on when we are likely to see it in the US and Europe.
