The OnePlus One smartphone currently ships with CyanogenMod 11, which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat, although according to a recent report, the company may be considering their own ROM for the handset.
According to a recent report from Mobile Geeks, the OnePlus One are possibly looking into replacing CyanogenMod with their own ROM.
OnePlus One are rumored to be looking to use their own ROM instead of CyanogenMod as the handsets main OS in an attempt to appeal to Chinese customers, so we presume they would still offer a handset with CyanogenMod, it just wouldn’t be the main OS.
OnePlus recently released a stock android ROM for their OnePlus One smartphone, in the form of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The company is also said to be relocating its software team from China to Taiwan, this has apparently been confirmed by the company, although they have not confirmed that they are working on their own Android ROM for the device.
