Developer Piotr Jankowski based in London has created a new piece of hardware called the Omniboard designed to provide developers, makers and hobbyists with a complete electronics lab providing an oscilloscope, waveform generator, programmer and debugger, VCOM, host device and more. The Omniboard is a versatile, portable electronics workbench created to make electronics easier and more affordable for those wishing to either get started or carry a full electronics lab conveniently in their bag with features powerful enough for experts. Features of the Omniboard include Oscilloscope 3 channels, 10MSPS, 64k samples, Waveform Generator 5MSPS, advanced software, Power Supply 5 Voltages, 5.0V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V, -5V ∑ 1A, 4 Channel Voltmeter, AVR ISP programmer, ARM programmer and debugger and much more. Omniboard can be used via a USB connection to a computer or as a standalone device if preferred. Piotr explains the “oscilloscope and waveform generator are packed with advanced features, many of which are not even available in more expensive products”.
